About Us
The Thermo-Fluids and Energy Systems (TFES) Research Group is based at Technological University Dublin and led by Dr Sajad Alimohammadi. We conduct computational and experimental research spanning thermo-fluid dynamics, data centre thermal management, microfluidics, energy harvesting, and indoor environmental quality.
The group brings together postdoctoral researchers and PhD students working on both fundamental transport phenomena and applied engineering challenges. Our research is supported by funding from Enterprise Ireland, Research Ireland/SFI, the Irish Research Council, and European programmes including EUROSTARS.
We collaborate closely with partners across Irish and international universities, including Trinity College Dublin, University College Dublin, University College Cork, and University of Galway, as well as industry stakeholders in the data centre and energy sectors.
