Dr. Sajad Alimohammadi is a Lecturer in Mechanical Engineering at Technological University Dublin (TU Dublin), where he has been based since 2017. He received his Ph.D. from Trinity College Dublin in 2015 and has served as an Adjunct Assistant Professor at Trinity College Dublin since 2018. He previously worked as a Research Assistant at TU Braunschweig, Germany, and as a Post-Doctoral Research Fellow at Trinity College Dublin and Adjunct Research Staff member at the Cooling Technologies Research Center, Purdue University, USA. He was subsequently awarded a Government of Ireland Postdoctoral Research Fellowship by the Irish Research Council. His teaching and research interests focus on applied thermo-fluids sciences and novel energy-efficiency technologies, combining experimental and numerical methods to address challenges in thermal management, electronics cooling, data centre energy efficiency and sustainable energy systems. His research involves experimental testing, computational fluid dynamics, advanced thermal management, digital twins and data-driven modelling. Dr. Alimohammadi is the recipient of the 2020 Harvey Rosten Award for Excellence in the Physical Design of Electronics, recognising research on innovative cooling technologies, and the TU Dublin Early Career Researcher Award (2023). He leads the Thermo-Fluids & Energy Systems Research Group at TU Dublin and currently supervises six Ph.D. researchers. He has authored more than 50 peer-reviewed journal publications, in addition to numerous international conference publications and presentations.
